Nashville is America’s “It City” and a soccer city on the rise. From the CONCACAF Gold Cup to FIFA World Cup qualifying, Nashville is becoming a destination for the nation’s most prominent soccer games. Music City’s local team, Nashville Soccer Club (the “Club”), just completed its final season in USL.  Now, the Club is ready for its next step, Major League Soccer. Nashville SC will transition into MLS in 2020 and is recruiting a Physical Therapist to strengthen the Club as it prepares for MLS.
 
JOB OVERVIEW
The team Physical Therapist will be primarily responsible for the rehabilitation of the player. The Physical Therapist will report directly to the CMO and Head Athletic Trainer. Under the supervision of the CMO and the Head Athletic Trainer, The Physical Therapist will coordinate rehabilitation, evaluations, Plan of Care, Progress Notes and Discharge notes on all players.
 
EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE
Four (4) year bachelor’s degree
Master of Physical Therapy Degree (MPT) or higher
 
LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS
Passed National Physical Therapy Exam
Possess personal professional liability insurance
Active credentialed and licensed in the state(s) where the club has home games or trains
CPR certification for Health Care Provider
Preferred APTA OCS, SCS or NATABOC Certified Athletic Trainer, CSCS, PES
 
WORK EXPERIENCE
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a sports environment at an elite level
Soccer experience preferred
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 
Performs physical therapy services for the teams’ players under the guidance of the Head Athletic Trainer/Therapist ordered by the CMO.
Provide up to date Physical Therapy Evaluation, Plan of Care, Progress Notes and Discharge Notes Maintained in the League EMR.
Maintain a complete and up to date physical therapy record in the League EMR.
Maintain Physical Therapy supplies and clinical equipment.
Comply with all MLS medical policies and protocol.
